ARKIV - bookends (prototype)
The bookends series takes its name from its aesthetic and functional aspects – ‘Arkiv’ is inspired by the classical architectural forms as arches and columns and it serves to store and support books. Together with a row of books ‘Arkiv’ creates a small architectural ensemble of arches and “blocks”. In an eclectic manner the classical is twisted in a modernistic and even brutalist way with its sharp outline, but balanced with the smooth finish and soft color. By laying the object horizontally, the bookend can be used to store stationery and other small things.
